Monday 16th

Tpday I did the plan, It went very well. I discovered my image had to be royalty free, I thought It was not so I went to find another picture, then i got my image in a royalty free site, istockphoto.com, so I did not have to change it!

moday 9th

Last monday I finishes my design, at homme I had already done and evaluated each design, in class, I chose one and I evaluated it against the design specificarion. Now, I already finished my design and already gave it in.
i liked doing this.

LAst monday we explored Jasc Paint shop pro9, it was really fun!

Monday 12th

Today we started the design specificaton, we had to write our design specifications, and we had to write why, and we then created a questionnaire that had to relate to our design specification, we will later on have to use it to evaluate the project.
This is how mine looked like:
3 Formulate a design specification
Design specifications:
• The picture must be kid Friendly because we want to attract kids, and kids aged 12 -14 are my target audience.
• The picture must have a high – quality resolution (must be sharp and clear), so that the person who looks at the picture is able to understand it easily and undoubtedly.
• The picture must show my point of view on learning because that is our goal.
• The picture must be original, because an unoriginal image is not eye – catching.
• The picture must meet the rule of thirds because then it will be a more interesting, attractive and clear image

To evaluate my work I will create a questionnaire. It will be on a scale of 1-5 in which 1 is awful and 5 is excellent.

Questionnaire:
1) Does my picture appeal to a 12-14 age group?
2) Is the picture sharp and clear?
3) Do you understand my point of view from the picture?
4) Do you think my concept was original?
5) Does the picture meet the rule of thirds?
Ãt the end of class, we went to the national geographic poll, to vote for a photo , I chose the first image, it was very nice, although there werent many options. ~
It was fun calass.

Monday 28th

We are on Task 2 of the Investigate: Develop a Design Brief. this is the research part of the project where we ask and answer questions that will help us solve our problem.

Today we had to researh and answer the followinng question:
. What is a jpeg?
b. What is a gif?
c. What is resolution and why is it important? Click here
d. What is Creative Commons? Click here (look at the photos here too!)
Then look at Composition. e. What is the Rule of Thirds?
We took a look at yahoo photos, that were very nice and funny.
We also learnt how to create interesting photos, by cropping the photo.it was a very fun class.

Monday 21st

To day we worked on starting our project, we did the identify the problem. I finished the task, and then I went to research about what was a JPG, and I started researching about what was a GIF.
We also started doing question, but i did not finish.

Monday 14th

Today we looked at pictures and saw how a picture culd transmit loads of things. then we went on the web finding pictures, that could actually transmit something or not. This will be our new unit, we will do a picture that can mean something, for example if i do a brain that is open that can mean, that what the picture means is for example, open minded.
I am reallt looking forward to it, i think it is going to be a lot of fun.

Hello! :) I am no longer in yr.7!
From now on i will post stuff about YR.8 I.T.!
Today we talked about the units we are going to have this year, the units look very interesting and i am looking forward to working on them.
I also organised my folder (which was a mess).
And that was what we did today.

YR. 7 WORK

Today I did my design specification on my recipe.´
I have finished doing the questions getting the recipe and getting information about the recipe

I feel happy and excited to start the page.

Today we did the plan for our debate, and there we included the resources we were going to need for our power point and the step-by-step plan with time, that we are going to use as a check list next lesson, when we do our power point
I think i used time wisely this lesson and eficciently.

Monday, 16th of February 2009

On Monday we started to work on our powerpoints, but before that we finished , what we were doing the week before. I organised how, my slides of the power point slides were going to look like, and also organised how I would divide them, although , I did not write about that, I only thought about it in my head.
My work I think is going very well, and I am very excited to see its results´, I am proud of how my work is going, and about my attitude.

Monday 9th of February 2009

Today we did our design and there we included everything we were going to include in our power point presentation
like for ex. I choose font 20 because......it meets my design specification because....

We next lesson are going to continue working on our projects .

Last monday I continued researching, and I also did a table for then me to be assessed.
I think everything is going well

Today in i.t. class I wrote about my knowledge on my topic, and I got some pictures, that i got from google, my homework is to finish the reaseach, I think I have very good information and I am very confident with it, next week we will not continue doind this so we need to finish for homework.

We are doing a debate, I am number 2 with Moritz and i am against and Moritz is For.
our debate is Should Cell Phones and pagers be allowed in class?
I still did not start researching properly, but I will start next week, am also going to copy and paste the url´s so then when I do the powerpoint I have the sites to do a proper bibliography. I am going to get about 7 reasons of why I cell phones shouold not be aloud in class.

Our homework everyweek is to make an entry on our blog and write what we did in the lesson, we need to do this after every lesson. It is very important to do this we can not forget, or else (of course) we get detention.
